The Secretariat

In addition to strengthening signatories' commitments, the revised Covenant also proposed the establishment and funding of a single, independent administration team to undertake the Covenant administration and communication tasks on behalf of the APCC, NPG and NPCIA. These administration activities include, but are not limited to:  
  • Managing signatory registration details & records including action plan development, reporting and compliance.
  • Providing communication and information support.
  • Organising meetings and providing support for Covenant Council, National Projects Group (NPG) and any other Covenant sub-groups established from time to time.
The Secretariat is established in Southbank, Melbourne hosted by Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) a leader in providing professional engineering and environmental services to the industrial, mining, water, transport, urban development and building industries.

Our Staff

Administrative Coordinator

Jennifer King joined the team at the Secretariat in February 2009 having previously worked in engineering administration roles. Jen has taken on the role of Administrative Coordinator and in doing so has taken over several of Adele Weston’s duties including registering new signatories, registering approved plans and reports and providing feedback to signatories, sending out signatory correspondence, compliance, invoicing, database and website management, as well as providing administrative assistance to other team members and assisting with signatory queries.

Projects Co-ordinator

Melissa Grant joined the secretariat in March 2010. Her role with the NPC includes monitoring and managing packaging, waste-minimisation and recycling projects for the APC including detailed reporting and database management,as well as co-ordinating regular APC Council meetings and providing administrative assistance to the CEO in responding to these events
